Linda G. Duve (Martine), 76, of Stow, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2023. Her final days were spent surrounded by immense love from her family.
She was the heart & soul of her family, and her selflessness showed through her continuous kindness. She was a friend to all, especially her children and husband. She was one-of-a-kind and our beacon of light . Her family will never forget her sense of humor, beautiful smile, quick wit, stellar style, and quiet generous deeds. She had a way of putting you at ease and found the positive in every situation. She adored her eight grandchildren and was so proud of each and every one. She made life meaningful, purposeful and so much fun. She was simply remarkable.
Linda was born in Akron and grew up in Cuyahoga Falls. She worked at General Tire and eventually worked at Meryl Lynch as a broker's assistant before meeting and marrying Tom Duve in 1969. Her keen financial mind and organizational skills helped set the stage to build a beautiful life and successful company with Tom. She loved to travel, explore, create, and make family life fun and spontaneous. She enjoyed her place in Florida and loved when the family would visit. She was the most wonderful host and always planned such exciting excursions. She was so much fun! Our hearts miss her immensely.
Tom and Linda raised their family in Stow, until their recent move to Bath. Her family is so grateful she could see and live in the home they (Tom) built specifically for her needs and their future together, even for a short time.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Martine (1967) and Jane Martine (2013). She is survived by her husband, Tom Duve; her children, Christie Petit (Brian), Andrew Duve, and Nicholas Duve (Steve Duve); grandchildren, William, Abagail, Ella, Jacob, Lily, Nathaniel, Benjamin & Anderson. Her sister Janice Beck, brother Dan Martine (Mary Ellen) and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
