Leslie Ann Johnson (nee Monroe), age 62 of Copley, Ohio, died unexpectedly on February 15, 2025.
Leslie was born on February 19, 1962, and was raised in Brecksville, Ohio, where she graduated from Brecksville High School in 1980.
She met her husband, Tom, in 1979 at the Brecksville McDonald's after which they were happily married for 41 years. They lived in Copley where they raised their three sons.
Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, Sally Ann and Clarence Monroe and her brother, Jeffrey Strojin.
Leslie leaves behind her husband Tom, her sons, Devon (Catie), Grant (Kim Roy) and Hunter (Stephanie Lloyd). She was a cherished grandmother to Levi, Lane, Lincoln and was excited to welcome her newest grandson Sawyer to be born in March. She was the sister of Susan Wanner (Tom) and her twin, Laurel Screptock (Gregg Mazurek). Leslie was Aunt and great Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a friend to many others.
Leslie and Tom enjoyed traveling, spending time in many national forests and parks. However, no matter where she was, her greatest joy was being home with her family. She rarely missed a soccer, football or rugby game one of the boys would be playing. She loved being surrounded by her sons as they talked, joked and laughed. And there was no greater joy to her than being a Grandma.
Leslie fought a 2 year battle with lung cancer which she would always vehemently add that she never smoked a cigarette in her life.
Leslie's passing leaves an absence in many lives that will never be filled.
There will be a Celebration of Life on August 9, 2025.
