Leonora Cain, 99, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2014. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 11, 1915. Her early years were spent in Twinsburg and Hudson, though she lived most her life in Cuyahoga Falls. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Basile (Joseph), son Robert Hitt (Sharon), Grandsons Nathan Basile and Jacob Basile (Tanya), granddaughters Laurie Marino and Amanda Arnold (Jason), and several great grandchildren. She was widowed with two very young children and had the grit and determination to raise her family and handle all of life's challenges. She devoted her life to her family and making their lives better. She was caring and a friend to many she met. She viewed life optimistically and had a wonderful sense of humor, including an occasional April Fool's Day joke. She had a sharp mind and enjoyed reading, playing cards, and crossword puzzles. She also loved nature, working in her yard, planting flowers, listening to the birds sing, the warm sun, and seeing the first Robin of Spring. She was a classy lady who always took the 'high road' and will be greatly missed. Thanks to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service for their loving care during her declining time. Cremation has taken place and a private family remembrance is planned.
