Leonard F. Huber passed away on 9/18/2016. Leonard was a compassionate, loving and kind man of great faith. He too was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and faithful friend. His greatest pleasure was his family to include his wife Kathleen, daughter Dana Evans, son Christopher (wife Kristen) Huber of Florida, Aaron (wife Erin) Huber of Cuyahoga Falls, Bryan Huber of Akron, stepchildren Kim (husband Ronald) Sabo, Valerie (husband Reginald) Thayer and Pamela (husband Brian) Conover as well as many grandchildren. Predeceased son Philip John Huber, parents Mary Paulus and Philip Huber, brothers Philip and James Huber and sister Helen Messner. Survivors include Leonards twin brother Lee Huber and sister Mary Lou (husband David) Rollins, favorite cousin Ed (wife Mary) Paulus and lastly Len's 4-legged pal, Gus. Leonard was a graduate of Central High School in 1960 then entering into trade school to learn his skill as a tool and dye maker. Len used this skill while working for 33 years at Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg. Fortunately he was able to enjoy the last 20 years in retirement taking many vacations over the years and hosting many family functions. Len loved to play cards, dominos, rumicube and wathcing the Indians, Cavs and the Browns games. Len also enjoyed his golf league with his brother-in-law Don and bowling on the Sabo team at Slovene center with his son-in-laws and friends. Len was a proud member of Lakeview Christian Church having attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in his youth. Leonard was especially proud of the accomplishments of his family and grandchildren. Our memories of him will remain in our hearts forever. His kind soul and ability to appreciate the smallest of gestures will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd, COPLEY on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 3 to 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 am at Lakeview Christian Church, 4613 S. Main St. Akron 44319. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.
