Lawrence Zintel

Lawrence Ringler Zintel, 95 of Copley passed away December 28, 2018. Larry was born in Copley on November 2, 1923 to Cora and George Zintel. He was a 1941 graduate of Copley High School and later served in the army during WWII. He was wounded in France and received a purple heart and silver star for his bravery. He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping and feeding the wild life in his backyard. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother William, sister Mildred and wife of 60 years Ruth (Suchek). He is survived by his daughters Susan (Roman) Holewinski, Sandra Van Horn and Laurie (Laurence) Landon; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He especially loved his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on January 16, 2019 at 6PM at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY, 3475 Copley Rd where the family will receive friends 1 hour prior. Donations may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Copley, OH 44333.
