Larry McKay

Larry D. McKay passed away on June 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He grew up in Pennsylvania, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University, where he met his wife, Susan, and then served our country in the United States Army. Upon moving to Akron, Larry began his career as a Certified Public Accountant working in both public accounting and industry, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Institute for Management Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Larry spent much of his life doing community service, including One of Kind Pet Rescue, The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, and as a former board president of the American Heart Association. Larry was an avid golfer, always looked forward to playing on his Sunday morning traveling golf league, and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie. Preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law; he is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Jen (Andy) Stone and Chrissy (Sean) Sarver; and brother, Terry. He is also survived by his loving mother-in-law, many supportive brothers and sisters-in-law and wonderful nieces and nephews.
