Kim Davis passed away on December 20, 2023 at the age of 63. She was just 9 days away from her 64th birthday. She was born December 29th, 1959 to the late Paul Eugene and Vinceen Louise Davis. Kim was one of nine children and the oldest daughter.
Kim was a loyal and loving daughter, an amazing sister and a very proud doting Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Kim had a way with kids...she was the "baby whisperer" and a "baby hog". If there was a new baby in the family, she was holding that precious child and that baby would always fall asleep in her arms. She was never blessed with any kids of her own but loved them like they were hers. Our sweet angel Austin had Kim's entire heart wrapped around her little finger. When he passed away, Kim grieved as we all did , but their bond was something so special that she carried that grief with her until her last breath.
Kim loved animals and she loved to garden. When she lived in Massillion, she spent hours and hours in her yard where her dogs could be found right by her side. Something was always in bloom and her hummingbird feeders were swarmed with hungry little birds. After she mowed and edged her lawn, her landscaping looked like something out of a magazine.
Kim loved family and made all feel loved by her sweet cards written in her impeccable left-handed handwriting. She was so thoughtful and would buy gifts that matched her thoughtfulness. The gifts were so beautifully wrapped that it was almost a shame they had to be opened!
When Kim's health declined, she would still do her part to try and help take care of mom. She lived a few blocks away and would walk over to visit even when she didn't feel great herself. The two of them had a special relationship...it is unbelievable to think that mom had not been in heaven long before Kim came and joined her.
Kim's two brothers Rick and Brian really stepped up to the plate when Kim started dialysis 6 years ago. Rick would get up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to get her there by 6 a.m. Brian was her ride home most days and would willingly fill-in when Rick couldn't take her. Kim always looked forward to her Saturday morning breakfast and grocery shopping with Rick. The family appreciates all that you both did to take care of her and for always making sure she had everything she needed. Such an amazing example of selfless love.
Kim leaves behind 8 siblings. Mark (Carol) Davis of Jamestown, Tennessee, Scott (Stacy) Davis of Canal Fulton, Brian (Laura) Davis of Akron, Paula (Dennis) Tucci of Malvern, Susan (Mick) Snyder of Fairlawn, Diane Kukura of Alliance, Rick (Julie) Davis of Akron, and Jennifer (Hayden) Hajdu of Copley. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Vinceen Davis and nephews Austin Michael Davis and Vincent Davis.
