Kathryn Sutter

Kathryn P. Sutter 96 of Akron passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 19 2012. Katie was born in Enola PA to the late Harry and Ruth (Spangler) Welker. Early in life she moved to Akron where she met her husband Joe Sutter whom she married in 1941. Katie loved spending time with her family most especially her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Katie is survived by her three children Susan (Gary) Hagen Joseph (Mary) Sutter and Dave (Katie) Sutter and grandchildren Amanda Hagen Amy Page Joseph Sutter III Jonathan Sutter David and Daniel Sutter along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe granddaughter Angela Sutter her parents brother Steve Welker and sister Arletta Tracy. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday September 24 2012 at 11 AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave. Akron 44320. Friends may call the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron 44304 on Sunday September 23 2012 from 3-5 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn 44333 or to Rockynol Retirement Community 1150 W. Market St. Akron 44312. Katie's family would like to thank the staff of Rockynol and Hospice for their loving care.
