VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE'' Kathryn Murphy 90 died May 11 2005 in Hospice Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of Akron. Kate retired from Polsky's Dept. Store. Preceded in death by her husband Edgar V. Murphy; parents Joseph and Anna Sigmund; sisters Helen Myers Ann Keberle Agnes Giles; brothers John and George Sigmund. She is survived by daughters June Murphy of Akron and Gail (Bert) Hayslip of Denton TX; son Tom (Joanne) Murphy of Tallmadge; brother Joseph Sigmund of Akron brother-in-law Frank Giles of Cuyahoga Falls; grandsons Shane (Jessica) Murphy of Baton Rouge LA Mark (Carrie) Murphy of Sumter SC Stephen and Patrick Hayslip of Denton TX and 5 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday May 14 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Cremation to follow the service. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron OH 44333.
