Hillery 82 a lifelong resident of Akron died February 17 2005 after a short illness at Manor Care Akron. Kathleen graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1940. She retired from M. O'Neil Co. as a secretary with 40 years service. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church and the Senior Citizen's Club. Her membership included the Catholic Daughters of America Akron Federation of Women's Club and AARP 1667. She was preceded in death by father and mother Michael and Margaret Hillery sister Mary and brother and sister-in-law Edward and Anna Mae. She is survived by godson David (Kathy) Bellett cousin and caregiver Kathryn Drexler and many cousins and friends. Special thanks to the 3rd floor staff at Manor Care of Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday February 21 at 10:00 AM at St. Sebastian Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Sebastian Parish Foundation or St. Edward's Chapel Fund.
