Karren Sawhill

Karren M. Sawhill, 74, passed away on Nov. 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 5, 1939. Karren was preceded in death by parents Harvey and Justine. She is survived by relatives Hubert, Marilyn, Charlotte, Valerie, Victoria, and good friends Jeanette and Wayne. Karren was a dedicated teacher at St. Francis de Sales and Highland Local Schools and worked with many charitable organizations in Ohio and El Salvador, Calling hours will be Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 1-3 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home (3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio). Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at St. Bernard Catholic Church (44 University Ave. Akron, Ohio). Private burial in Mansfield Cemetery.
