June Mowery

June Ann Mowery, 81, went home to be with her Lord, Friday September 26, 2014 at Summa Palliative Care Center. June was born June 23, 1933 in Akron, Ohio where she became a lifelong resident of Norton, Ohio. June was preceded in death by parents Joe and Goldie Steward and husband William D. Mowery. June leaves behind her sisters Mary (Bruce) Montgomery of S. Carolina, Betty Lou Elfrink of Copley; daughter Christine of Wadsworth; grandson Kyle William and son Bill Mowery of Norton and her little dog Tiny Tot. June was employed at Acme Grocery Stores 38 years before retiring. June was a devoted member of Wintergreen Ledges Church of God, and was an active member of Hilltoppers and Norton Seniors. The family will receive friends Thursday October 2, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley. Funeral services will be held Friday October 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Wintergreen Ledges Church of God, 1889 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
