Julie C. Horinger, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2017. She was born on November 17, 1957 in Akron to the late George and Mary 'Jacquie' Dzubara. Julie was a 1976 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School and attended the University of Akron, studying special education and speech therapy. Julie's early professional career started at Portage Path Mental Health Clinic before taking a position at Professional Employment. After a long career with Professional Employment, she took a managerial position with Flex-Team. Her professional career was extremely important to her, but secondary to her children, their education, and their various involvements. She lived her life for her three children and she stopped at nothing to see them smile. Julie experienced a new chapter in her life when she became 'JuJu' to her grandsons. The love she showed them was rivaled only by the love she carried for her own children. Preceded in death by her beloved brother, George; she is survived by her children, Dr. John W. Horinger (fiance, Angela Funovits), Jason Horinger and Jessica Horinger; grandsons, Ewan and Emile; siblings, Lucy (Shawn) O'Neil, Mary (Richard) Zak, Joseph (Susan) Dzubara and Jane (Steven) Burt; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Richard (Cara) , Kate (Jason), Theresa, Alex, Marissa, Spencer (Sarah), Bryce, Tim and Jack; great niece, Ayla; and aunt, Virginia (Tom) Thompson. We invite all family and friends for a Celebration of Julie's Life at Noon on Saturday, June 17, where calling hours will be 10am till service time at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St Akron, Ohio 44304. Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Peter Maurin Center of Akron (1096 S.
