JUDITH HRABAK (nee Bryenton) age 69 passed away July 10 2011 after a long illness. Born August 14 1941 as Mary Lee Ann Thomas in Elyria Ohio she was the daughter of Anna (nee Sarnowski) and Irving Thomas. In 1950 she was adopted by Helen (nee Smith) and Wallace Bryenton changing her legal name to Judith Helen Bryenton. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Conneaut High School. She received her Bachelor's degree (1963) and Master's degree (1993) in Education at Baldwin Wallace College. Judy married the late Robert J. Hrabak in 1963 and made their home in Berea Ohio raising two children. Following college Judy taught second grade in the Berea School District. With motherhood she reduced to part-time work as a learning disabilities tutor in the district before returning full time as a first grade teacher at Copopa Elementary School Columbia Station Ohio. She retired from teaching in 2002. During retirement she was a member of the Berea Kiwanis Club. Judy is survived by her loving companion Bernard Porter; daughter Amy Colaco; son Tom Hrabak; loving grandchildren Jacin Colaco and Eric Colaco; and many siblings and relatives.
