Joseph Nowak

Joseph J. Nowak 86 passed away Tuesday June 22 2010 at the Village at St. Edward. He retired from Bridgestone Firestone with 37 yrs. of service. Joseph loved to go to Florida for the winters and he loved to fish and listen to his polka music. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and grandsons Bryan and Mark. Joseph is survived by his children Patricia (Carl) Schmeltzer of Copley Richard (Christine) Nowak of Manchester and Carolyn Sullivan of Fort Lauderdale FL; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; and loving friend Madeleine. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday June 25 2010 at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Road. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Village at St. Edward 3131 Smith Rd Fairlawn OH 44333 or Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service 3358 Ridgewood Rd Akron OH 44333. We wish to thank the nurses and aides at the Village at St. Edward and Hospice Nursing Care. Without their help and care our loss would have been more difficult.
