John L. Weisenburger, 62, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at UH-PMC in Ravenna after a long battle with heart disease. John was born August 3, 1954, in Ravenna, to the late Robert F. and Mary A. (Chermansky) Weisenburger. He graduated from Ravenna High in 1972 and was a lifelong resident of Ravenna. John helped run the family furniture business, PX Furniture while in school and long afterwards. Later, John was the owner and operator of Weisenburger Towing for many years. Welding, building custom trailers and mechanical work were his passion. He also enjoyed competing in demolition derbies. John was known affectionately by his friends as 'Farmer'. John leaves his three brothers, Dan (Francoise) Weisenburger of Stow, Gary (Jane) Weisenburger of Stow, and Bob Weisenburger of Kent; nieces Susan (Weisenburger) Shields of Oklahoma, Tiffany (Weisenburger) Bowser of Pittsburgh, Emme Weisenburger of Stow; nephews Matthew Weisenburger of Reminderville, Ben Weisenburger of Stow, Luke Weisenburger of Stow; Aunt Ruth Snyder of Lake Placid, Florida; and many cousins, including Terry Snyder and Larry Snyder of Lake Placid Florida, and Johnnie Jo Tucker of McAlester, Oklahoma. John will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a graveside ceremony on Saturday, April 15th at 11 A.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna, where John's ashes will be buried with his parents.
