John F. (Jeff) Stephenson

John F. (Jeff) Stephenson, 82, passed away January 1, 2025 at Falls Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

John was a loving husband to Christine Puncheon (deceased) and Vicki (Robertson) Stephenson; a loving father to David (Tonya) and Marie (deceased); a devoted grandfather to John (Ali) Daily, Anne (Steve) Sharp, and Prudence Stephenson; and a cherished great-grandfather to Nathan and Lucas Daily and Charlie and Payton Sharp. John was big brother to Anne Marie (deceased), Mary (Dr. Jeff) Kase, Martha (Jon) Kelly (both deceased), Alice (John) D'Attoma, and deceased sister, Phyllis (Mike) Griffith. Surviving are eight nieces and nephews and 6 great-nieces and nephews. The son of John Paul and Dolores Friess Stephenson (both deceased).

John was a life-long and active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he was president of Parish Council, a graduate of St. Vincent High School and the University of Akron, and a 2003 retiree from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 32 years of service as Director of Production Planning. John was proud of his Irish heritage and was past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Mark Heffernan Division.

Services will be held on Monday, January 6 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with family receiving friends at 10am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the church at 164 W. Market St., Akron OH 44303.
