John Smith

John P. Smith 36 went home to be with our Lord suddenly on January 4 2013. John was a lifetime resident of Akron and attended Green High School. John had the gift of making everyone he knew smile and feel at ease with his quick sense of humor and generous loving heart. He will be dearly missed by many. Preceded in death by his mother Gari Lynne Smith he is survived by his daughter Miranda Lynne; father and step-mother Philip and Susan Smith; Sisters Christina (Jim) Wise Heather (David) Vereecken and Sarah Smith; four nieces and one nephew; numerous aunts uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Thursday February 14 2013 from 5-7pm at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Internment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions for the benefit of his daughter may be sent to Susan Smith Miranda Coleman Benevolent Fund c/o First Merit Bank 101 North Main Street North Canton OH 44720.
