John McCool

John C. McCool 87 of Akron OH the patriarch of our family died peacefully in the company of his loved ones at the VNS Hospice Care Center on July 7 2004. Born in St. Paul MN John was a resident of Akron since 1941. He retired as an Environmental Scientist from B.F. Goodrich in 1982 after 41 years service. He received his bachelor degree from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. John was a faithful member at St. Sebastian Parish where he served as an usher and in the St. Vincent dePaul Society until his death. John was preceded in death by June his beloved wife of 57 years and his brother Dr. Robert F. McCool of Clarion IA. He is survived by his daughter Mary Joan ''Micki'' (Louis S.) Trenta of Akron sons J. William (Rose Anne) McCool of Strongsville and James (Diana) McCool of Bath. Survivors also include the grandchildren he so loved Steve (Melinda) Trenta Cathy (C.J.) Biro Christopher Trenta Kyle Alicia and Tyler McCool step-grandchildren Michelle (Christopher) McBurney Kristin (Brian) Miller and Jon Novak and great-grandchildren Rachael and Danielle Biro and William Trenta. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday July 10 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd.
