John (Jack) W. Marshall, 81, of Uniontown passed away September 12, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born October 2, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Margaret (Botzum) Marshall. He was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and Kent State University. He retired after many years of service from Roadway/Fedex. Jack enjoyed traveling, hiking, biking and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He deeply loved his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, MIndy Booth and Michael Marshall. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sue (Triplett) Marshall and sons Mark (Julie) Marshall and Matthew (Angie) Marshall; daughter-in-law, Lisa Marshall and son-in-law Brian Booth. Jack loved his grandchildren Tyler, Logan, Luke and Nathan Booth; Nicholas, Mason, Noah and Avery Marshall. He is also survived by sisters Margaret Bostick, Carolyn (Steve) Harman and Susie (Larry) Williams; brothers Tim, Bill, Bob (Joan), Charlie (Cathie) and Donnie Marshall. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 17, 2-5 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 18, 10:00 am at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
