John C. Kosley, 97 of Akron, passed away Monday, January 11th 2016. Born in Cleveland, July 10, 1918 to his parents Alexander and Vladislava. John was an avid photographer, fisherman and hunter. He served in the Navy during World War Two aboard the USS Laertes. He worked for Chrysler for over 33 years, retiring in 1981. He is survived by his wife Lillian (Parker) after 38 years of marriage, daughter Gayle (Oscar) Bruagnam, son Timothy Kosley, step-children Tony (Becky) Parker, Bonnie (Gary) Jasiunas, Ariadne (Hud) Scott and Laurie Morrell, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. Akron. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at the church. A private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday. Memorials may be made to St. Sebastian Parish Foundation.
