John Collins

John J. Collins 59 of Stow (formerly of Ellet) passed away peacefully on Friday October 7 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth Collins. John is survived by his wife Annette (Sues) Mitzel-Collins; sisters Sarah (Chuck) Klein Jean Ann (Ed) Smith and Christine (Bob) McMillan; children Robert and Rachel Mitzel; father-in-law Ted Kodish; numerous nieces nephews family and friends including his friends at The Briarwood. John's family would like to express gratitude to Greg Beck long time friend and brother. John was a member of St. Eugene Parish where he was a Third Degree Knight. He was athletic and enjoyed playing golf baseball and running - with a personal accomplishment of completing the Columbus Marathon twice. Johnny had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. He loved good food good wine and great music. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday October 15 2011 at St. Eugene Catholic Church 1821 Munroe Falls Ave Cuyahoga Falls 44221. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary one hour before where friends may gather prior to the Mass.
