John Bostosky

John (Johnny) Bostosky 62 of Akron Ohio became our gift to God on Sunday May 2 2010 at his residence after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and caring hospice staff. Johnny was born on February 27 1948 in Newfoundland Canada to Veronica (March) and Joseph Bostosky. He was a 1966 graduate of Crestwood High School and a Veteran of the US Army where he served his term as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War. He worked at Morse Control in Hudson Ohio for several years before his employment in the floral business. He lived in Ohio most of his life except for 15 years of which he was a resident of Dahlonega Georgia. Johnny was a gentle loving talented amazing man with a heart of gold....to know him was to love him. His talents and creativity were endless. His gardens and landscaping were breathtaking. He took much pride in creating his beautiful home which he put so much thought and effort into. He enjoyed crocheting art and had a great love for animals. He will be greatly missed by his family: Son Jason Bostosky Partner Tom Netting Brother Dean (Fran) Kolesar Sisters Linda Nations Gail Pochedly Donna (Terry Thomason) Kolesar Auntie Olga Kolesar Uncle Donnie (Jane) Kolesar and many cousins. Mother in Law Norma Netting Sisters In Law Bonnie (Dave) Reichman Diane (Kevin) Marshall. Many nieces nephews great nieces and great nephews whom he greatly adored. Also his extended family his dogs Dinky and Herminonie cats Dorian Dwight Gandolf and Francis. He was preceded in death by his mother Veronica Kolesar Stepfather Rudy Kolesar brother in law Jimmy Vadnal and his brothers he served with in the Vietnam War. Those who knew and loved Johnny would like to extend their great appreciation to Barberton Hospice Kari Ruth Ellen Amy Ginger and Tammy also Dr. Strauss and Dr. Tootse from the VA at Wade Park for their tenderness comfort and professional care they provided for him within his residence. Per Johnny's request a private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society or any Vietnam Veteran Organization.
