Johanna Tishner

Johanna E. Tishner age 91 passed away May 27 2009 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born in Pennsylvania but lived most of her life in Akron Ohio. She retired from Firestone after 42 years of service. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and the Altar Society and was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Summit County Federation of Women's Clubs. She is survived by her sister Virginia Helsel (Francis) of Portage Pennsylvania as well as several nephews grand nephews and grand nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 30 2009 8:00 AM at St. Vincent Church 164 W. Market St. Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange St. Akron TODAY May 29 2009 from 5-7 PM.
