Surrounded by her family and those who loved her Joanne passed peacefully from her earthly home Saturday October 5th. Born to Anthony and Mary (O'Connor) Richards on March 5 1930. Joanne was the beloved youngest of their six children. Shortly after graduating Joanne married her high school sweetheart John on June 24 1950. They made their home in Akron raising their family at times working together at S. J. Roetzel & Son Produce Co. and traveling the United States and Canada. She was a wonderful mother to her children. Always taking time to listen and encourage them on their life journeys. She was an adoring grandma who's joy in life multiplied with each new arrival. She was a member of St. Sebastian Parish and past member of Christ Child Society Little Flower Garden Club Our Lady of The Elms Special Education Parent's Association and ARC. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents husband John sisters Marie Getz Winifred Petit Alice Moline Gertrude Kraft and brother Anthony Richards. She is survived by her children Susan Freeman (Tom) John Roetzel Karen Amer (James) Linda Roetzel Jeffrey Roetzel (Jennifer) and James Roetzel. Grandchildren David Watts (Audrey) Joanne Robinson (Jason) Michael Meneer (Beth) Anthony Roetzel (Sarah) Brigette Cleary (Christopher) Lisa Woods (Adam) Kristy Amer (Sean Williams) James Amer (Mollie) Joshua Amer(Shawn) Justin Hulgin (Samantha) and Kara Roetzel great grandchildren who affectionately called her ''Grano Alyssa Zachary Noah and James Robinson Maisie Meneer Brooke Hulgin Audrey and Benjamin Amer Wyatt Amer Quinn Woods and Naomi Watts.
