Our family sadly announces the passing of JoAnne Rininger. Although we are sad to see her go, we know that she rests in the arms of God and she will never feel pain again. Mom was all about family. She was married to Dean for 60 years. She was and always will be the mother of Mark, Eric, and Lynn. She was the best grandma that Jason, Kurt, Bill, Elise, and Ben could have ever asked for. Say one negative word about any of them and watch out, JoAnne was coming after you. The single biggest reason she fought so hard was her greatest joy, her great-granddaughter, Annabelle Grace, notoriously known as 'the package'. JoAnne was preceded in death by parents, Joseph & Anna Hanla, sisters: Clara Herchek & Marguerite Valentine; and brother, Walter (Bud) Hanla. She is survived by her husband Dean, her children: Mark (Roberta) Rininger, Eric (Margaret) Rininger, and Lynn (Will) Swigart. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason (Jodie) Rininger, Kurt Rininger, Bill Rininger, Elise Rininger, Ben Rininger and great- granddaughters Laila Bennett, Anna Rininger, and great grandson Kaden Bennett as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to our friends and extended family for being there in our time of need. You know who you are. Mom always said that the longer you live, the more you learn and we have learned so much through these trying times. We would also like to thank every single member of the Akron General VNS Hospice & Palliative care team for their warmth, compassion, and comfort during Mom's last days. A special thanks goes out to Dr. Esther Rehmus and her wonderful staff. We are humbled by everyone's generosity, thoughtfulness, and especially their prayers. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Monday, June 29th at 3:00 PM at Hummel Funeral Home in Copley. Calling hours will follow from 4:00-8:00 PM. Private interment will be held at a later date. Per Mom's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron General VNS Hospice & Palliative Care on Ridgewood Rd. in Copley, Ohio. Mom also had requested casual dress at this celebration. Mom, may God bless and keep you always and may your wishes all come true. Thank you for your love, guidance, and devotion to us. Please visit www.hummelcares.com to share memories or condolences
