Joanne Korec

Joanne Korec passed away on February 21, 2016. She was born on March 16, 1951 in Akron to the late Tom and Rita (Gmerek) Clark. She graduated from North High School and while employed as an executive secretary at Goodyear, she met her husband Ken. Preceded in death by her daughters, Ashley and Traci; sister, Christine Clark and parents-in-law, Frank and Ann Korec; she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ken; sons, Brian (Abigail) and Jeff 'JT'; grandson, Tyson; siblings, Tom (Janet) Clark, Eddie (Jennifer) Clark, Patty (Marty) Conway, Dan (Jacqui) Clark and Nancy (Bob) Thome; nieces and nephews, Claudia Clark, Mallory (Mike) Thomas and their children Liam and Armando, Corey and Dylan Conway, Danny, Steven, Olivia and Veronica Clark., sister-in-law, Karen Korec and other loving family. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Rd.
