Joan Domanick

Joan Marlyn Domanick 80 went to be with the Lord on Monday August 22 2011 at 10:22 AM. Joan was born in McKeesport PA on July 3 1931 to the late Bertel & MayBelle Landstrom. After high school she attended business school and then worked with her dad at Ohio Machinery (Caterpillar Tractor). She met the love of her life Edward Domanick through her sister Jean and her husband Bill Slease - Ed and Bill were best friends. Joan and Ed were married on November 27 1954 in Cleveland. She was a member of The Chapel since 1968; she loved her Sunday School Primetime classmates. Joan loved her family and family times together and always made those times extra special. Joan is survived by her sons Gary (Becky) and Jeff; and grandchildren Sarah Jared Debbie and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend Edward their darling daughter Jeannie; and best girlfriend and sister Jean. A Funeral Service will take place at The Chapel 135 Fir Hill Akron 44304 on Thursday August 25 2011 at 11 AM. A family internment will take place in the Copley Township Cemetery prior to the funeral. Family will receive friends at the Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley RD (just east of Copley Circle) on Wednesday August 24 from 4-8 PM. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to The Chapel.
