Jessie Snyder

Jessie R. Snyder 95 of Akron passed away on May 18 2005 at Hospice Care Center. Jessie was born in Ghent Ohio on February 15 1910. She grew up there and was one of only five in her graduating class at Bath High School. She lived in the Springfield area for 65 years and as a Christian (Phil. 1:21) was active in Sawyerwood United Methodist Church and Health Haven Auxiliary. She was baptized in Springfield Lake at age 85. She worked for many years as a cook first at the Grade school then finished her career at 'Brownie's Restaurant.' Jessie loved tending her flowers and sharing them with others. She was the last surviving child of 16 a caring mother grandmother great-grandmother and friend to many. The remaining family members are daughter Jean (Jim) Forsythe; stepson T.R. (Marlene) Snyder; grandchildren Stephen (Jill) Forsythe Carol (David) Shook Philip Forsythe Timothy Forsythe Cindy (John) Vrugtman Kathy Snyder Mark Snyder; great-grandchildren Sean Jessica and Brandon Forsythe Michelle Daniel Jonathan and Abigail Shook Emily O'Rourke; and many dear Nieces and Nephews. A memorial service will be held at Sawyerwood United Methodist Church 956 Mohawk Trail Akron OH 44312 on Sunday May 22 2005 at 4:00 pm. Calling hours one hour prior to the service at the church. Suggest that any memorial may be made to the Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron Ohio 44333 or to Sawyerwood UMC. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
