Jennifer "Jen" Durbin (Jansen), 47, passed away into the Lord's loving arms on May 13, 2022. She was born on February 26, 1975, in Akron, OH. Jen was a lifelong resident of the area and will be missed by her family, friends, and those whose life she touched.
Jen was a spiritual warrior during her battle with cancer. Jen's journey to follow God's plan led her to volunteer at Embrace Clinic as an advocate, minister in Unbound Sessions and a vital part of CHRP Women's Group.
Jen's creativity knew no bounds whether in her job as a commercial designer, photography, or craft nights with friends.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and John Martin and Catherine and Bernard Jansen, she is survived by her husband, Christopher of Wadsworth, OH; mother and father Judy and Michael Jansen of Copley, OH; mother and father-in-law, BJ and Jim Durbin of Green, OH; her brother Michael (Joy) of Carmel, IN; uncle and godfather, John Martin III of Akron, OH; two sisters-in-law, Tracy (Howard) Heinze of Roanoke, VA and Wendy (Laurence) Durbin of Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, Perry (Dawn) Durbin of Uniontown, OH; five nieces, Emily, Chloe, Elaine, Mirabelle and Eliza; four nephews, Zach, Andrew, Charlie and Connor; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Hilary Catholic Parish, 2750 W Market Street, Fairlawn. Father Steve Brunovsky will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 AM at the church.
