Jennifer Walter-Marco

September 27, 1969 — January 25, 2013

Jennifer L. Walter- Marco (43) of Columbus Ohio led a fulfilling life of love hope and happiness. She possessed a positive attitude and a strength that was an inspiration. Everything about her came from a place of love and commitment and was true to her core. On Friday January 25 2013 she went home to her Heavenly Father after her courageous and determined fight against ovarian cancer. Her magical spirit lives on through the strength she passed to those she loved and cherished. She lived surrounded by loved ones and friends proving her inspiration to us all. Born on September 27 1969 to Jim and Carol Walter of Copley Ohio Jennifer spent most of her childhood life conspiring with her brother and sisters against her parents and loving the game of soccer. Jennifer attended Copley Schools and graduated Copley High School in 1987. Jennifer attended Ohio Northern and The University of Akron before beginning her retail management career. She met her husband Dean and the two were wed on December 13 1990. Eventually she found the job she cherished the most; working for the Disney Corporation. Over time like the magic of Disney she created memories bringing amazement and smiles to all she touched. Her most magical moment in life was the birth of her son Dean Jr. who carries on the strength and love that his mother held in life. Jennifer was preceded by her grandparents Larry and Flo (Ball) Walter and Dan and Catherine (Lieberth) Whatmough; In-laws Donald Marco Emma Louise (Ference) Marco and Donald Marco Jr. Jennifer is survived by loving husband Dean and son Dean Jr. of Columbus Ohio; parents Jim and Carol (Whatmough) Walter of Copley Ohio; Siblings Cathie (Robb) Carden of Copley Ohio Chris Walter of Akron and Laura (Charles) Franchetti of Doylestown Ohio; In-laws Susan Marco of Niceville Florida Dennis (Sally) Marco of Medina Ohio Roxann (Tom) Vasko of Centerton Arkansas Douglas (Eva) Marco Sr. of Cleveland Ohio Renee (Greg) Barker of Barberton Ohio and Daryl (Allison) Marco of Oshkosh Wisconsin; and many nieces nephews and cousins. She held a special place in her heart for her friends; especially David Suchka and Chrissi Brown. Those who knew Jennifer know her to be brave and strong. She looked for the best in others and was able to entice it out with her honesty. She lived her life in such a manner that those for whom she loved experienced a love like no other. She was selfless and she showed that through her actions and if you were befriended and loved by her than you were truly blessed. She will continue to stand with us and watch over us as we face every new day. She saw her life as a timeless moment. That is why she was drawn into the magical world of Disney. As a child she loved the Disney films and as an adult she never lost her childhood love of the Disney dream. Working for the Disney Corporation gave her immense happiness. Going to work daily meant sharing her childhood and her internal happiness with all who entered her store. Outside of work she could have spent a lifetime at Walt Disney World. She would encourage her family to experience Disney just so she could make another trip to see the Electric Light Parade. This passion for life and her commitment to the happiness of others made her a top manager for the Disney Store. Her friend David captured the spirit of his love for her and her love for Disney in his last writing to her: 'I joined in a story filling the pages with mystery fantasy dreams magic and love. You cast your spell of sharing and comforting for all you touched. Yes you gave of yourself putting others first. You met your prince charming married and raised a handsome caring son to carry on your legacy. Like Peter Pan your siblings rallied the ''children'' of Never Land to battle the cause. Your strength courage and compassion made them proud. Like the Tale of Cinderella you shared a dream of a special Chariot ride with your family. Rev the engine close your eyes she is there by your side. Like the Magic of Disney you created magic with me bringing amazement and smiles to all.' Friends may call Tuesday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home on Copley Road. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday January 30 2013 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Copley Ohio. Burial will follow in the Copley Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Jennifer's memory to the Haven of Hope Cancer Center located at Zangemeister Cancer Center 3rd Floor 3100 Plaza Properties Blvd. Columbus Oh 43219 or http://www.hohcf.org/ In leaving this world Jennifer could be summed up in three immortal words 'To the end.' She inspires all of us to approach each day and every minute with the ambitions and dreams that we all aspire too. Every second of our time she would want us to love our families and friends to the fullest put petty arguments and disagreements aside and pursue happiness in work and life to the very end.
