Jeffrey Knapp

Jeffrey A. Knapp, 67, a lifelong resident of Akron, passed away Thursday April 6, 2017. He was proud to have been the fourth generation alongside his brother to own and operate Knapp Foundry opened in 1910. His family and friends will remember him as hardworking, kind, thoughtful and sometimes stubborn good guy who would always be there for you. He enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the koi in the pond he built, watching Fox news, setting with the fur babies, watching Lord of the Rings and Superman time and time again. He leaves behind his wife and soul mate of nearly 40 years, Cathy; sons Jonathan (Elena), Jason; grandson Peter; brother Charles (Norma) Knapp; sister Phyllis (David) Zart. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 12, 2017, 6-8 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in his memory.
