Jeanette Adams

Jeanette Adams 77 years of Akron passed away December 17 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a four year battle with cancer. A wife mother grandmother great-grandmother and big sister. Jeanette was a loving cook caregiver and homemaker for her family. She loved having her family around and was the type of mom and grandma that never sat down during family meals making certain everyone else was cared for. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren over the past 29 years. She helped them with their homework (especially math) and always provided a snack after school before they went home. Born in Lyle Tennessee and raised in Youngstown she moved to Akron when she married Donald. As a wife she loved and supported Don in their many moves around the country throughout his career. (ask Dad). Preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Gladys Weems and grandaughter Leah. Survived by her husband of 59 years Donald Adams son Jeffrey (Laura) daughter Dawn sons Mark (Terrie) Doug (Michele) grandchildren Jason (Amanda) Jillian Benjamin Valerie Vincent Michael (Jamie) Jonathan Matthew Melissa Carmine Kennedy Kolby; great-grandchildren Siena Jaden Gabe Nathen and Abigail; brothers William (Karen) Thomas (Janice) Stanley (Shawna) Robert (Martha) Weems and cousin Joyce Jenkins along with numerous loving relatives and friends. Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 Saturday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave. Akron.
