Jean Jahant

Jean D. Jahant 86 of Akron went peacefully on to her next journey on Sunday June 16 2013. She was born to the late Carl and Hazel Gotshall in Akron where she lived most of her life. Jean is preceded in death by her son Gary. She leaves behind the love of her life whom she spent 65 years Tom her loving and devoted husband. To carry on her memory are her children Mark (Jo Anne) Jahant Nancy (Pat) Lastocy Patti (Charley) Carpenter and Jeff (Keri) Jahant. They began as a full house of three kings and two queens then evolved into ten grandchildren. Although she was once a secretary and a St. Thomas volunteer Jean's most rewarding time spent was being 'Nana.' Her memories included winters in Siesta Key and summers at Lake Erie with family and friends. Jean touched so many lives and anyone who met her holds a small part of her big heart. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 20 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd. Copley. A memorial Mass will be held Friday June 21 2013 10 AM at St. Vincent Parish 164 W. Market St.
