Jane Kovacic

Jane Frances Kovacic, age 94, passed away on January 6, 2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio on February 14, 1927 to the late John and Frances Cahill.

Jane attended St. Vincent High School and Carnegie Mellon College in Pittsburg. She worked in advertising in New York, Cleveland, and Akron at Polskys, where she met her husband, Fred Kovacic. They married in 1962. Jane was an award winning artist. She belonged to the American and Ohio water color societies, and the Akron Society of Artists. Jane and Fred enjoyed traveling. Including many trips abroad to France, Italy, and England. Closer to home, she enjoyed her trips to their cottage in Port Huron, Michigan.

Jane is survived by her loving husband, Fred; sister, Marilyn Skacevic; a niece, Carol (Rob) Cottrill; and great nephews, Joe Duke and Sam Cotrill; and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave, Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road. Akron.
