James Walsh

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE'' James N. Walsh 74 died June 7 2005 surrounded by his family. Born to Harold & Irene (Hassel) Walsh in Barberton on March 3 1931 he was a parishioner at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1949 and was a 1953 graduate of John Carroll University. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in July 1991 with 36 years of service. He married his beloved Rita (nee Durosko) on November 24 1955 and she survives as do their three children & five grandchildren; daughter Cynthia Walsh Bowling Green; son Michael & wife Pradit of Bluffton their children Sunee Stevens Melanie Walsh & James Walsh: son Joseph & wife Brenda of Chatfield and their children Andrew & David Walsh; and great-granddaughter Malee Stevens. Also survived by sister Mrs. Mary (Richard) Brennan Akron; brothers Dr. Thomas Walsh St. Louis MO. & Martin (MaryKay) Walsh of Worthington. Sisters-in-law Sister Joyce Durosko IHM Monroe MI.; Mrs. Helen (Harold ) Walsh of Bexley & Mrs. Doris (Phillip) Durosko Sun City FL. Brothers-in-law Mr. Phillip Rhodes Canton & Mr. William Kuhn Akron and numerous nephews & nieces. Preceeded in death by his parents beloved mother-in-law Mrs. Agnes Durosko; father-in-law Mr. John Durosko; sister Mrs. Kathleen Rhodes; brother Mr. Harold Walsh; sister-in-law Mrs. Patricia Kuhn; & brother-in-law Mr. Phillip Durosko. Jim desired only a simple statement of the facts of his life but his family wishes to take the liberty of signing off with words that will be recognized by all who knew him or ever received a note card or letter from him 'God Bless!' Calling hours will be Friday from 2pm - 4pm & 7pm-9pm at HUMMEL FUNERAL HOME 3475 Copley Rd. Copley 44321. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1686 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Copley 44321 the Rev. James Kramer & Rev. Edward Burba to con-celebrate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Poor Clares 3501 Rocky River Dr. Cleveland 44111: or St. Mary's Catholic School Fund 750 S. Main St Akron 44311.
