James Pfeiffer

James M. Pfeiffer (Jim), 62 of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, was a graduate of Hoban High School, and attended the University of Akron. Jim's abundant love for his family was apparent in all he did. He was a devoted Brown's fan and loved listening to rock-n-roll music. Jim provided numerous donations to the American Red Cross and supported the Humane Society of Greater Akron. Jim was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Ellen. Jim was the beloved husband of Kathy; loving father of Marc (Janelle) and Jennifer (Tony) Oakman; and cherished 'Papa Jim' to his new grandson Bennett Pfeiffer and Lindzi Oakman. Jim is survived by his brothers John (Deb) Pfeiffer, Tom (Barb) Pfeiffer, Rick (Marilyn) Pfeiffer, and Bob (Jackie) Pfeiffer as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was also unconditionally loved by his devoted dogs, Lacey and Lexie. Friends may call on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 2-5 PM at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. A funeral service will follow for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
