James Payerle

James J. Payerle, 68, passed peacefully on May 29, 2023.

James was born in Akron, Ohio and lived there most of his life. He was a loving, loyal, and caring man. Everyone who met him loved his kindness, compassion, and gentle nature. He loved being with family, friends and outside in nature. His hobbies included playing guitar, listening to music, gardening, and watching football.

James was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Payerle and brother Michael Payerle. James is survived by wife Gail; sons James (Jennifer), John and daughter Marie; stepson Jeremy Straight and stepdaughter Katie Straight; siblings, Martha (Michael), Mary (James) Banar, Stephen (Carolyn), Susan Palmer, Christine (Joseph) Hagenbaugh and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday June 10th, 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home located 500 E. Exchange St Akron, Ohio 44304. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron due to his love for his cats, dogs and all animals.
