James Paparone

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE James Paparone 84 passed away on Saturday March 5 2005 at Akron City Hospital. He died peacefully surrounded by family with a smile on his face. A graduate of the original Central High School James lived his life in Akron. He had a keen interest in Democratic politics and in issues of health and wellness. He enjoyed gardening cooking and feeding the birds daily. He always cherished the memory of his late wife June with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. James retired from the B. F. Goodrich in 1982 after 42 years of service. He had attained the highest classification in skilled mechanical work. James was a long-time member of St. Matthew Church. In addition to wife June James was preceded in death by brothers Arthur and Lemmy Paparone and sisters Rose Barbuzza and Mary Chiofolo. He will be sadly missed by daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Jere Burrell and the Burrell family; son Charles Paparone; grandchildren Michael and Nicole Paperone and great-granddaughter Abigail Rose Morris sister Helen Paparone brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Marian Basil and Mary; many cherished nieces and nephews and sister-in-law and best friend Virginia Rezack James will be remembered as a wonderful husband father and grandfather. His dedication to family and his insights into everyday life will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday March 8 2005 at St. Matthew Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. In Akron on Monday from 4-8 PM.
