James McAvoy

James Patrick McAvoy 79 passed away June 27 2013. He was born to Donald W. and Bertha M. (Bane) McAvoy on January 29 1934 in Akron Ohio. Jim attended Central High School and graduated from the University of Akron. He served in the National Guard U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Oriana House. Preceded in death by his parents brothers Donald W. Jr. and Ernest P. He is survived by his loving brother Ronald D. (Ellen); sons James P. Jr. and Daniel K.; nieces Patricia (Rick) Evans Colleen (George) Kimson and Mary Ellen McAvoy (Craig Sivak) and great nieces and nephews; Jennifer Evans George III Aaron and Elisabeth Kimson and Aidan Cullen Kerrigan and Ronan Sivak. Calling hours will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home (500 E. Exchange St. Akron). Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
