James Giffels

James L. Giffels 89 passed away peacefully on July 6 2013 with his family by his side. He lived a full life until the very end and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jim was born on July 2 1924 in Grand Rapids Michigan the second of six children born to William and Caroline Giffels. He was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers Richard and William. He is survived by Mary his wife of 64 years; daughter Patricia Graber (Donald) and their daughters Laura Finkler (Matthew) Kathleen and Mary Dicarro (Tom); daughter Catherine Vogel (Jeff) and their sons Rick and Karl (Nicole); daughter Louise; daughter Elizabeth Bidinger (Robert) and their sons Joseph James and Matthew; brothers Robert and Thomas; sister Mary Lou Halter; sister-in-law Mary Lou Giffels; brother-in-law William Dillingham; 26 nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 12 2013 at 12:30 PM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1676 South Cleveland-Massillon Road Copley Ohio where the family will receive friends from 11:30 until the time of service. Private burial has already taken place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
