James Frederick Forsythe 81 passed on the evening of October 3 2010. A life-long resident of the Akron area Jim was born on June 15 1929 to Wilbur and Hulda Forsythe. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1947 and served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean conflict. In 1952 he and Jean Dunsha were married. Jim attended Akron University and earned his license as a Professional Engineer. He practiced as an electrical engineer with area firms. Faithful in his love of God he was a member of Maranatha Bible Church. He also served as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts where he taught the scouts with the same quiet strength and wisdom that he brought to the raising of his children. Jim is survived by Jean his wife of 58 years; brother Harold (Ray); children Stephen Carol Philip and Timothy; niece Judy; and grandchildren Michelle Sean Jessica Dan John Brandon and Abby. A Memorial service will be held Saturday October 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Maranatha Bible Church 1424 Killian Road Akron Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation may be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries 175 E. Market St. Akron OH or to a charity of your choosing.
