Jim Misanko left this earthly world to be reunited with his parents, Jim and
Lois, and two 'little' brothers, Bill and David. He leaves his wife and
best friend Sharon; his amazing sons Eric (Angela) and Matthew (Erin);
his perfect grandchildren Jocelyn, Adele, Maxwell, and Mikah; his
In-Laws Jim and Wendy Davis and Mark and Sandra Bulgrin; and many
dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim put his family first and enjoyed
fun vacations, sporting events, picnics, holiday parties, and more with them.
Jim always described his meeting Sharon as "Love at First Sight," and
their 44-year union, with total dedication to their marriage vows, spoke
to that beautiful connection. Jim had a passion for life that included
a love of playing and watching sports. He was a Golden Glove Boxer,
Basketball Player (30 years with his dear buddies), Bowler, and Terrific
Golfer. And yes, we will count Euchre and Chess as sports since he was a
champion of both. He occasionally harassed his friend Mark Edmunds
because of Jim's love for the New York Yankees instead of the Cleveland
Indians. He also was a faithful and diehard Chicago Bears fan.
Jim consistently demonstrated his deep commitment to Catholicism
by faithfully attending Mass at St. Francis de sales Church with his
family each Sunday. Jim had many friends who visited him
throughout his seven-year illness. He also leaves two special people who
supported him through his journey: cousin Christopher Misanko and
neighbor Dennis Guilmette. We will miss Jim's flawless big
smile, and an unforgettable laugh that will certainly be missed!
