James John Ederer, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016. He was born on February 3, 1925 in Morris Minnesota to the late Bernard and Clara Ederer. Jim proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Air Force. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Jim retired in 1987 from San Diego, California City Schools as a science teacher. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying any activity outdoors. Preceded in death by his sisters, Dolores and Mary; he is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jo; children, Vicki (Charles) Way, Mark (Elizabeth) Ederer, Bernard (Beth) Ederer, James Jr. (Melody) Ederer and Marie Beaulier; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Ederer; sister, Joan Mutscheller; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Sebastian Church, 476 Mull Ave. Akron.
