James Crawford

James P. Crawford 82 of Akron died August 30 2004. He was a life long member of St. Mary Catholic Church a decorated veteran of WWII retired locomotive engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 47 years of sobriety. James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Margaret parents Lawrence (Tom) and Margaret Crawford sister Dolores Ober and brother Terry Crawford. He is survived by his brothers Larry of Northridge CA Raymond Crawford of Akron and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday September 2 2004 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday September 1 2004 at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the Interval Brotherhood Home.
