Jacquelyn Lisowski

June 3, 1962 — August 24, 2024

Jacquelyn (Jil) Marie Lisowski (née Janis), a beloved mother, Mimi, and cherished member of the North Royalton Christian Church, passed away peacefully after a courageous two and a half-year battle with cancer at the age of 62. Born on June 3, 1962, Jil lived her life in Richfield, Ohio, and Richfield, North Carolina, proudly graduating from Revere High School in 1980. She was the daughter of the late Richard Janis and Anne Taylor and is survived by her mother, as well as her children, Joshua (Amanda), Jennifer, and Avery (Nick) Apicella, and her grandchildren, Karissa Leppa, Braeden, Natalie Lisowski, and Jackson and Luciano Apicella. Jil was preceded in death by her sister, Leslie Janis Taylor, and is also survived by her brothers Gary, Terry (Barb and Kay, both deceased), Richard (Nancy), and Jon (Mary), along with numerous nephews and nieces. She is also survived by the father of her children, Steve Lisowski.

Jil was known for her many talents, including caregiving, sewing, quilting, and painting. She enjoyed making pajamas for her grandchildren when they were young and had a unique gift for painting rocks, which she would leave for others to find during walks. Recently, she took up learning the keyboard, teaching herself to read music and play songs, and she found joy in driving the school bus for Revere Local Schools, where she loved all her children, especially her favorites. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her community will be deeply missed.

A North Royalton Christian Church member and a Life Member of AMVETS Auxiliary Post 176, Jil's life was a testament to love, faith, and perseverance. A memorial service will be held at North Royalton Christian Church 5100 Royalton Road, on Saturday , September 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm followed by a gathering at the Richfield AMVETS 176 Club. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research or North Royalton Christian Church, reflecting Jil's lifelong commitment to helping others. She will forever be remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
