Jacqueline Wells

Jacqueline "Jackie" Jean Sumpter Wells (58) passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on February 10th, 2022. Born February 5th, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to Maggie Lee Jones Sumpter and Joe Horton Sumpter, she was the little sister of Joe Horton Sumpter Jr. (Melody) and Andra Jill Sumpter Kennedy (Michael). In 1986, she graduated with honors from Miami University. On the most successful blind date in history, she met R. Brian Wells, and the two soon fell in love, marrying in 1996. She expertly planned the births of her two children, Sophia Leeann Wells and Canyon Berkely Wells, with Zodiac compatibility in mind. She will be remembered (and envied) for her immaculate taste and talent as an interior designer, her lifelong friendships (April Sanderson, Jayma Bammerlin, Mary Mikolanis, Tina Hirsh), and her unshakable optimism. A celebration of her life will occur outside at a later, warmer date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Stewart's Caring Place.
