Jaclyn Keen

Jackie Keen 36 passed away July 25 2004 after a courageous 27-month battle with lung cancer. She was an Alliance for Lung Cancer phone buddy during her sickness and spent countless hours on the web talking to other lung cancer patients. Jackie was born and raised in Akron and graduated from North High School. She leaves her loving husband Randy and children Aaron and Cecelia. She is also survived by her parents Jack and Edna Dearmitt; sisters Pam (John) Donatelli and Sandra (Anthony) Panella and brother Tim as well as nephews Dominic and Vincent Donatelli Daniel Panella and niece Erika Panella; aunts and uncles Jerry (Carol) Dearmitt Gene (Becky) Dearmitt Virginia Rollow Doris Williams and uncle William Williams. She will be sadly missed by camping cousins Denise (Bob) Smail Sharon (Bob) Sparhawk Tim and Jeff (Shelly) Sparhawk Kristine (Tim) Lab Joseph and Aaron (Michelle) Dearmitt numerous older cousins who knew her less than those mentioned; and honorary cousins Becky and Bob. Also surviving are her father and mother-in-law Hubert (Helen) Keen and sister-in-law Karen (Danny) Willard and nieces Whitney and Korie. Our thanks go out to her legion of friends who were so supportive in ways too numerous to mention here; Doctors Haas and Kross who treated Jackie over the years; wonderful chemo nurses at Summa in Cuyahoga Falls; nurses and staff on 5400 floor of AGMC who were so compassionate and kind during her last days. Finally we thank God for giving Jackie to us these 36 years..... it was an adventure we were so fortunate to be able to take. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday July 28 2004 at 10:00 at St. Bernard's Church. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. For those desiring to do something other than floral tributes a Keen Children Benevolent Fund has been established at First Merit Bank State Road Office 2875 State Road Cuyahoga Falls Ohio.
