Jack Wegryn

Dr. Jack Wegryn died June 1 2010 after a lengthy illness. Jack was born February 9 1934 in Bridgeport CT. He received his B.S. Degree from Tufts College in Cambridge MA his medical degree in 1959 from Marquette University School of Medicine and interned at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport where he also served a year of surgical residency. In 1961 he enrolled in the urology residency program at Akron City Hospital. Dr. Jack was a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology Asst. Professor of Urology at NEOUCOM Chief of Urology Staff at St. Thomas 1973-1993 Vice President of St. Thomas Medical Staff 1979-1993 and received Summa's Physician Recognition Award in 1999. He is survived by his wife Terry of 51 years; children Dr. Scott (Carrie) Wegryn of Knoxville TN Pam (Frank) Randazzo of Summit NJ Dr. John (Jennifer) Wegryn of Akron; eight grandchildren Zachary Lukas Audrey Elena Anya Eva Francis and Louisa. Jack enjoyed fishing golfing a good story and dinner with friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 5 2010 10 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1686 S.
