Jack Stout 71 of Bath Ohio passed away suddenly on Thursday February 6th. Jack was born in Elkhart Indiana to the late Murray and Ethel Stout. Jack received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and his master's from the University of Southern California. He was a 1st Lt. and pilot in the Air Force during the Korean War serving with the 781st AC&W Squadron. He had a successful business career in the field of Personnel which included positions at Rand Corp Sno Jet and Carburundum ultimately coming to Akron to work for Myers Industries. He was with Myers's for 20 years retiring as Director of Personnel Services. As a retiree he indulged his love of volunteer work as a tutor for Project Read and local elementary schools a guide for Nature Realm and the Metroparks and teaching pc skills to senior citizens. He had a passion for gardening biking and traveling. Jack is survived by his wife Ann five step children four grandchildren and his son and daughters in law. He will be greatly missed. In accordance with Jack's wishes there will be no formal services. A private gathering of family and friends is planned. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Metroparks or Life Bank. The Stout family wishes to thank the doctors nurses and staff on 4 West Acute Care at Akron City Hospital for their kindness and excellent care.
